INCUBATOR WALL _ SASAKI
Jaywalk Studio collaborated with Sasaki to develop a custom screen for their new incubator space in Watertown, MA. The installation serves as a semi-private barrier between the common area of the space and the conference rooms. The final design was realized using generative algorithms and is comprised of nearly 1,000 individual pieces. The laser cut acrylic panels slide together and required no glue for final assembly. As one navigates around the structure, they will notice that the profile of each panel was carefully designed to align and interact with it’s neighboring panels. This interplay between shapes creates unique views and differing amounts of closure depending on your position within the space.
